Once you’ve learned how to count from 1 to 10, the rest of the numbers become super simple in Tamil. It’s like unlocking the next level of a game!
Here’s the trick: numbers after 10 follow an easy pattern. For example, 11 is like saying "ten-one," 12 is "ten-two," and so on. There are just a couple of small exceptions to this rule—but don’t worry, we’ll tackle them together.

The number 10 in Tamil is pathu. To count from 11 to 19, we simply add ten + one and so on. Sounds easy, right?
First, pathu (10) changes to pathi to make the combination sound smoother and more seamless. Then, we add the sound of the other number.

The word pathi + ondru becomes pathinondru by blending the sounds together to make it smooth and seamless. This sound mixing happens only for numbers between 11 and 19, so it’s important to pay close attention to the pronunciation here.
There’s just one small catch: two minor exceptions for 12 and 19. But don’t worry—these are the only exceptions you’ll need to remember for all the numbers from 10 to 100. Once you’ve mastered 11 to 19, the rest of the numbers are super straightforward and easy to learn!
Let’s take a closer look and start counting!

From here on, it’s going to be smooth sailing!
Scoring and Winner Determination:
  1. step 1: At the end of the designated rounds, tally the points earned by each player throughout the game.
  2. step 2: The player with the highest total score emerges as the winner, with rankings determined by point totals for subsequent positions.

Example:

  1. step 1: At the end of the designated rounds, tally the points earned by each player throughout the game.
  2. step 2: The player with the highest total score emerges as the winner, with rankings determined by point totals for subsequent positions.
And it works the same way for every number up to 100, with no exceptions—what a relief, right?
Go ahead, count to 100 and become a master of Tamil counting. You’ve got this!
